That is what troubles me. You don't have a red telephone on your desk that connects directly to God. You also have learned everything you know through filters of various sorts, not to mention people of varying intellect, training, and mental health. We know that a certain amount of it is "disinformation", but don't have any idea how extensive that distortion might be. You just might be not be right.
Certainly we all have a capacity to be wrong.
However, in this field, I’ve persistently put puzzle pieces on a shelf and waited on God to confirm them through multiple sources and ways.
Some things have distilled out as most probably mostly true.
