Politicians are heavily getting involved in this problem. For them, it is an easy remedy. They just get their chauffeur to do all the driving, while they sit in the back and drink, on the public taxpayer dime. I think this such be handled at the state level. The federal (Obama) administration should NOT get involved in this. If he does, it will get even more screwed up.

For me even grabing a can of soda and taking a sip causes me to drive dangerously. I have however mastered to drive one handed while changing the radio stations with the other.

A past acquaintance’s 16 year old daughter died while texting and driving last July. The girl she was texting back and fourth with felt awful when she found out why that last text was not answered.
