I ate it for a while. I’d cut all the red fatty tissue out, bread it with egg then pancake mix then fry it in olive oil. It was decent, but then I got a few bags that just tasted like dirt. Haven’t eaten it since.

Tilapia can be really really good. I guess it depends on the environment it came from.

Not always. The filets can be delicious if cooked the correct way. The best I’ve ever had were grilled.

(But we’ve also had tilapia that tasted bad. My culinary-expert wife says the problem is due to improper cleaning and/or less-than-optimal fileting.)
