Probably one of the worst tasting fishes on the planet. Growing up in Hawaii, most jokes about eating cheap rotten fish revolved around Tilapia. Lately in Seattle seafood restaurants, they have been trying to advertise Tilapia as some gourmet exotic fish. Cracks me up.
I’ve never eaten it, but when I was in the seafood biz, I was told that tilapia can vary widely, based upon the feed......there’s a large farmed tilapia industry.
