I spend 16 weeks in Fort Sill, OK. Wisht Ida taken the reenlistment bonus and made it a career. I could have done that (with bigger guns) for a living for the past 30 years.

There is always a trade-off. You would probably need to spend years in a smothering desert surrounded by nasty smells. Hopefully that makes you feel better about your decision.

You would probably need to spend years in a smothering desert surrounded by nasty smells. Like this is any better? I didn't reenlist because of a girl. I don't have the girl anymore and now I have cold, wet winters, whiny liberal neighbors and coworkers and memories of long hours spent in meetings about nothing.
Granted, I got extremely lucky with the wife I wound up with, but she's culturally a 1950's Midwesterner.
