Longview pit bull attack
LONGVIEW, Wash. -- The search is on for a dangerous pit bull that Longview police say bit a 3-year-old boy who was eating lunch with his mom in Victoria Freeman park Wednesday afternoon.
The boy suffered serious bite marks to his cheek and was treated at OHSU. Thursday afternoon, animal control officers with the Cowlitz County Humane Society searched the neighborhood for the white pitbull with brown brindle markings.
It ran off after the boys mom punched it during the attack. Newschannel 8 spoke with several neighbors who said the dog is a stray that's been hanging out in the area.
Pastor Bradley lives across the street from the park and says his own great great grandson was playing with the dog right before the attack.
"Jeramiah has been playing with the pit bull and he feeds it, so it's not a bad dog. It's just hungry," said Paster Bradley.
But animal control officers are worried the dog could attack again. The neighborhood is surrounded by homes and apartments and is filled with small children.
The stray pitbull is white with brown spots, if you see it the cowlitz county Human Society wants to hear from you right away.
I used to have a girlfriend who wore jeans with a 38” inseam.
Sounds like a good way to go broke fast, quick and in a hurry.
We could be on the hook for $50.00/day - or more.

Obviously, you shouldn’t have let her go.
(Although Mrs. Shibumi looks like a good catch, too!)
Yes, there is no end to the emotional damage wreaked by a pitbull’s taunt. Things like, “Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt of elderberries!
Of course, first you have to teach it to talk...
I am familiar with someone who is actually taunted by pit bulls on a daily basis. I didn’t know that could be possible, either, but it is a fact.
If you want to use the fishing metaphor, I think I was the fish. There were several hooks in the water.

You always find what you’re not looking for.
Looks like a Catahoula mix.

But think of all the dogs we’d save...:)
But what he didn’t mention is that she was only 5’ 1”.

Empirical Evidence ‘Mander
They all look like at least 50% Southern Snooze Hound to me.
At the very least!
Well, the spots you can see there are actually mud. As he’s aged he’s gotten thicker, too.
I’m pretty sure that one of his parents was a hidden merle ACD, and the other was a red-nose pit.
I have a Jack Russell that has long long hair and looks like a Lasa Jack cross. He came from a JRT breeding kennel and is supposed to be pure JRT. My brother is a vet and even he doesn't think he is pure bred JRT. My brother called me the other day and asked me if I was willing to have the JRT DNA tested. I said yes, provided he and I are also DNA to see where we came from. He agreed, so I'll let you know when it is all done, (especially the dog).
It’s many little things that give it away, some of whick you can’t really get from a picture.
His mouth is huge. When he’s at rest his head looks like a normal dog’s, but when he barks it seems to open all the way past his eyes. You can see every tooth in his head. His skin falls around it in wrinkles; his toes are very long, with each joint very articulated. His body is so wide his legs look spindly, but there’s no fat on him.
The thing that throws most people off (other than the ears) is his tiny little head, which is too narrow and pointy for a pit bull.
It was amazing luck that we adopted him, since he’s gotten me over my fear of pit bulls. We’re involved in a pit bull group which is loads of fun, and when Obama outlaws cars, I’ll still have someway to haul the kids around.
I would love to hear more about the DNA test, by the way. I looked into it for Swiper but have never gone through with it.
If they start outlawing PBs in Texas, though, I’m probably going to have it done.
