I've heard things in the past week I haven't heard in years like sitting in the living room listening to a downpour outside. I can hear birds I couldn't hear before.

Exactly the same here. It's wonderful and I've had very little problem adjusting, talking and hearing on the phone is one area that I'm working on.

We have a 9 yr old g/son and 10 yr old g/daughter living with us and I had a lot of difficulty hearing either of them. Since I got the hearing aids, I've discovered they are quite the little loud mouths.

I can even hear the turn signal indicator clicking while driving now, I'm going to miss hearing my wife tell me the turn signal is still on.

The first day I had them I noticed when my wife made hamburgers, I piled the sliced onions on as usual and I could hear them crunching as I chewed. Life is sweeter when you can hear.

The central heat and air is taking some getting used to. I remember years ago though I could hear it running. As for the house phone I use an over the head headset with boon mike. The cell phone is touchy though as well as trying to modulate my own voice now when talking. I don't talk loud enough so they say :>} I wish I could see my youngest grandson again. He wears them also. I didn't realize it when he lived with us but I was more deaf then him. I'd like to put some ear mold impression putty in his moms ear for a few days so she'd know what it's like not to hear.
