Right, Bull Mastiffs will usually approach an intruder without warning, and then pounce on him and hold her down. They are not known for mauling like Pit bulls.

I have no idea why anyone would let a 9 year old girl walk such a dog by herself however. This is another case of a dog being treated as a person, and not as an animal.
