Here's the worse part. Although everyone has anecdotal evidence that people, perhaps even themselves, become more conservative as they age, the empirical evidence about voter party loyalty is very clear. The party that an overwhelming number of people vote for in their first election is the same party that they will most usually identify with for the balance of their lives.
Obama getting almost 66% to McCain's 32% will haunt us in future elections.

Way past my throw up indicator!
Some times there are massive shifts though. The South’s switch to Republican is truly dramatic as the South use to be called the “solid south” since it always voted Democrat. It could be that the assault on our morality will shock enough people throughout the country as they see how serious the moonbats are. I think that many people who were unsure about the social issues are now on board with us social conservatives. They know that the soul of our country is under attack, when they see this clearly, they will stand up for their country.
I think that the Carrie Prejean incident as well as the California Question 8 controversy has shown the nation how abusive the gay activists are. The Miss USA story was seen on the entertainment media which gets a much bigger audience than the news channels. The gay propaganda that we had been seeing on tv for so many years always portrays gays as being sweet and harmless, now people are seeing the dark side of the gay movement. And it is a good thing that they are seeing this, it is a warning to the nation.
Hopefully the pendulum is going to swing back the other way. The Democrats have no way to go but down. I believe that in a couple of years people will be disillusioned with BOTH parties as many Republican voters are now disillusioned with the Republican Party. We are seeing the signs right now as independents have become the majority.
I think that in a couple of years America is going to go red as the social conservatives will come out to vote and many of the suburbs of the cities will lean Republican. There man not be much of a Republican Party to vote for but the Democrats will be in disrepute. I hope that this country starts fixing itself from the grassroots up. I don’t care about party labels, I just want the best for America, maybe we need some new parties.
