Let’s face it, if you are a celebrity and if you say anything bad about gays, you effectively end your career.

You can go the rehab 20 times, be arrested for DUI, get hooked on heroin...whatever, you could still resurrect your career. But say something bad about gays, and you can forget it.

Yes look at Isiah Washington from Grey's Anatomy (I don't watch it but my daughters do). He called his openly-gay cast-mate a faggot and was soon off the show and into obscurity.
