Miley Cyrus Speaks Up About Gay Rights
Ohnotheydidnt ^ | 3:00 pm / Apr 21st, 2009

So by now we're pretty much all familiar with Ms. California's response to Perez Hilton's question at the Miss USA Pageant the other night, she just doesn't believe in "opposite marriage," (no offense to the gays)

This ain't cool with Miley, and she's going to let the world know.

mileycyrus: I'm sad that people use god and religion as an excuse 2 hate, discriminate and deny gays and lesbians equality under the law

Later when Perez Hilton asked her to make a specific stand Miley replied with:

'I believe everyone has the right to be happy, that's all i'm saying'

Mock Twitter all you want, but when the most popular teen star in the world says something like this, millions and millions of gay rights supporters are born.

Miley Cyrus is the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, a one-hit wonder that is not even impressive.

Miley’s 16. She’s still in the impressionable phase. People like her don’t make the deepest political thinkers.

I just read about this on michnews.com. I thought, not her too. She is very popular with young kids. My 6 year old granddaughter’s friend has all of the Hannah Montana stuff. I don’t care for all of this “rock star” stuff as I think that the music is crappy and I don’t like having little kids aspiring to the rock star hero worship. I think rock stars and other celebrities are not the best role models for kids. It is all about fame, glory and money followed by drugs, drinking and rehab. Too much noise, distraction, not enough quiteness for the soul. I think this flashy ego-driven lifestyle is not a good centered way of life.

Anyway, another Hollywood phoney, no surprise here.

My dog barks sometimes. Her barking could be considered wisdom by some.
Similar to the wisdom of a teenage TV star.

Some times there are massive shifts though. The South’s switch to Republican is truly dramatic as the South use to be called the “solid south” since it always voted Democrat. It could be that the assault on our morality will shock enough people throughout the country as they see how serious the moonbats are. I think that many people who were unsure about the social issues are now on board with us social conservatives. They know that the soul of our country is under attack, when they see this clearly, they will stand up for their country.

I think that the Carrie Prejean incident as well as the California Question 8 controversy has shown the nation how abusive the gay activists are. The Miss USA story was seen on the entertainment media which gets a much bigger audience than the news channels. The gay propaganda that we had been seeing on tv for so many years always portrays gays as being sweet and harmless, now people are seeing the dark side of the gay movement. And it is a good thing that they are seeing this, it is a warning to the nation.

Hopefully the pendulum is going to swing back the other way. The Democrats have no way to go but down. I believe that in a couple of years people will be disillusioned with BOTH parties as many Republican voters are now disillusioned with the Republican Party. We are seeing the signs right now as independents have become the majority.

I think that in a couple of years America is going to go red as the social conservatives will come out to vote and many of the suburbs of the cities will lean Republican. There man not be much of a Republican Party to vote for but the Democrats will be in disrepute. I hope that this country starts fixing itself from the grassroots up. I don’t care about party labels, I just want the best for America, maybe we need some new parties.

“JUdging is not loving”, that is the Bible according to Phil Donohue. I used to watch his program a lot when it was on, until I got sick of the constant liberal preaching. But he used to say this all the time. This became a liberal mantra. People who never read the Bible like to quote this without asking themselves what it really means. The way the liberal airheads use this quote, it suggests that to have any moral standards is being judgemental. That is not what Jesus meant, he didn’t come here to subvert the Ten Commandments.
