[Alan Rickman, being the sole exception]

Alan Rickman was a wonderful Sheriff--he's a fantastic bad guy and a fine comedian, as well as a perfectly splendid serious actor. But he was not ultimately convincing as a danger to Maid Marian. I first realized Rickman had to be gay when I saw in the last scenes of Robin Hood that he didn't have a clue how to go about raping a woman. Unfamiliar territory, you know?

So he might be light in the loafers, but he's been in a relationship, with one woman, for the past 40 years (even I have to gaffaw that he hasn't married her!).

Just something else I don't want to think about when I go see Snivulus on July 15th....
