Ponder that a skilled archer could launch 20 arrows a minute, on a bow with a 100-120# draw weight!!!!!! WOW!!!!!!
English Archers were also highly skilled Light Infantry. That tid bit usually gets over looked. But after firing off as many arrows as they can, the bows are dropped and the swords come out or at least that is how Edward III used them in the first half of the Hundred Years War.
