I know but slaughter houses aren't where most individuals get this sort of thing done. Usually they find an individual butcher or a guy that processes deer to take care of it for them.

When I drop off a deer for butchering, I usually make sure it is dead first.

Can your friendly nieghborhood butcher kill the horse?
