To: gridlock

Well, I understand that people eat meat and, while I don’t think it’s wrong to do so, I’m finding it increasingly difficult to do it myself, as the thought of consuming another living thing is somewhat disturbing.
So I accept the idea that animals will be killed in order to feed the world, if you will. When this happens it should be with the greatest expediency and in the most humane way possible, IMO.
What I can’t suport is cruelty and the infliction of suffering on a living thing that doesn’t deserve it. The horse killer in this article apparently has many apologists here on this forum. I just don’t see any justification for what he did.

I don’t know for sure, one way or the other, but it could be that the animal was injured and had to be humanely put down.
