Joni Mitchell - one of the great singers...how is she?
I just posted a link to a UK Telegraph interview where she referred to Bush and his Nazi Stormtroopers. See my other post with the link. Listed below is what she said. She is a lefty Obot.
It is her first collection of original songs since Taming The Tiger in 1998. The thing that links all of the pieces is a gale force political anger. “I spent the last couple of years pissed off,” she laughs.
“I was mad at America, mad at the government, mad at the people for not doing something about it. They were going to be so quick to impeach Clinton for kinky sex but slow to do something about Bush and his Nazi stormtroopers. All that loss of freedom and everybody just kind of oblivious. It’s dumb and it’s dangerous.”

To say the American people are ignorant is a generalization. Certainly a majority of Americans are oblivious to certain atrocities that go on e.g. Darfur. But at the same time, those of us (including Mr. Rose himself) who care to investigate the state of the world objectively can be very well-informed actually.
Ms. Mitchell, if the U.S.A. is such a dark and sinister place, why do you still live here and allow your grandchildren to grow up here?

She, even as a Canadian in America, has a right to her comments even her comparing Bush and his people to “nazi stormtroopers” and her association to hard core lefty dope smoking libs like Crosby, the surviving drug addicts in teh Greatful Ded, Jefferson Airplane/Starship (God who crap music like the dead.).
I also have a right to call her a dangerous fool. I am sad she is a sick but sadder that small American children were murdered on 9/11 by Muslim terrorists.
Say what you want about Bush - he took action against Islamic terrorism and I still have a Constitutional right to call her an ass for calling Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney and our troops Nazi Stormtroopers. She can go to hell.

I am sorry she is sick but she brags how she is a big cigarette smoker (real smart there) and my guess is the drugs and STDs from Crosby have eventually caught up to her. Sad.

She really doesn't have any credibility as an environmentalist since she's been smoking tobacco since she was 9. I guess when she sang "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot" she was referring to a tobacco plantation that had been taken out of production.
