THis is indeed the curse of the Babe as I predicted when they first broke ground for Steinbrenner Park. They broke ground when the Yanks were up 3games to 0 to the Bosox and we saw how that turned out.
The Yankee mgmnt. kept on repeating how an era was ending..and what era that was....so welcome to the new era of the Yankees at Steinbrenner Park. The Yanks will be to MLB what the Cowboys are to the NFL; glitzy, expensive and living off past glories.
Those curse things are hard to overcome. As a Red Sox fan I can only say...thanks George!! (and A-Fraud..and Hillary!!)
