Why “never acceptable”??
We kill rats and mice with traps and poison, what is the difference?

It seems cruel, and I don’t like the idea of making any animal suffer if it’s not necessary. Rats - yeah, good point there. Mice? I’d prefer catch and release. Squirrels just don’t seem like they’re in the same category, although I guess they’re rodents.
I guess I’m in the minority here. :)
