Wow. That’s amazing. Somebody gives the phenomenon a name, in this case U.F.O., and suddenly it is only part of the century the name came from?
Under the same logic, I suppose Hope and Change is also fresh and new, and un-heard of prior to the 21st century? And you folks think UFO people are gullible or diluded?
It doesn't matter if they called them “UFO’s” or “dancing disco lights” or “weird lights in the sky”.
The simple fact is that the modern “UFO sighting” is based upon a modern mindset of extra-terrestrial life and technological means of motility.
There is simply nothing previous to humanity knowing of this possibility that compares in essential details.
If there was an ancient scroll talking about such a sighting, with a picture of a “gray” as described by many in the modern age, and a drawing of a lighted up disco disk; I would concede that there may well be such things visiting us, and that they probably have for a long time.
But that is simply not the case.
In the mystical age the sightings of the unknown being from elsewhere was mystical.
In the technological age the sightings of the unknown being from elsewhere is technological.
Why the change?
