Would they travel on a ship like device? A ship that crashed in NM? A ship that gave us the the basics for transistors and kevlar and lots of other cool post 1947 inventions?

I understand what an angel is. What I don’t understand is how they relate to a crash that might or might not have happened in the desert outside Roswell in 1947.

Elijah was taken up in a "firey chariot" so perhaps there is some device that the angels use when they need to carry men, who's bodies cannot tolerate the conditions through which they must travel when they go with angels.
