Actually, they’re not stupid. They’re backed up by either absolute #s (meaningless, actually) OR general % of the dog type in question.
Although I’m sure many dogs are mistakenly called “pit bulls” (which is prime reason I’m against banning any dogs), there is still little denying that tons of attacks (as opposed to BITES, which is the real difference also) are at the mouths of pit-bull terrier types (not breed - this is a whole type of dog, like sighthounds aka greyhounds). The real problem with PBTs is they tend to latch on and not “let it go”, as most terriers are wont to do. Thus, they do more damage than most others, who bite and are done with it, rather than hanging on as if their own lives depended on it.

[this is not a test and you will not be graded]....:)
See my post #28 here about a PBT attack on a horse I witnessed: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2179835/posts
It was surreal watching a 65 lb animal attack a 1,000 lb animal with such conviction and ferocity. A zebra is a horse and can kill a lion with a good kick. The punishment the PBT took without so much as a yelp was absolutely shocking and I probably wouldn't believe it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.
