Your post #13 reminded me of some pelicans I ran into while on vacation years ago over in Pensacola. While fishing off the old bridge there these birds would land a few yards away and nonchalantly wander over to your bait bucket a help themselves to your mullet all in a very calm and dignified way. Most people, me included, were impressed with their good manners just let them have the bait. they would just stand there next to you a swallow their selected mullet then move on to the next bucket, they weren't overly greedy like our current government.
