You need to learn the finger gestures for the touch screen. You can magnify to any size just by pinching thumb and forefinger and then separating them. Go to the apple website for a demo of the gesture.

I can manipulate the text size by the finger move on the screen just fine, but to make the text big enough to comfortably read, the whole column is wider than the screen, and I’d have to scroll left and right to read each full line of text.

Maybe I am not saying this right.

What I’d like is what is on other websites, where somehow it’s formatted to fit the screen, even if you do the finger-move to zoom in on the text. On many news sites, if you wanted the text bigger and made that move to do so, the column still stops at the sides of your screen so that you can read the entire sentence.

On FR, when you zoom in on the text, the sides of a line of text go off screen. Hasn’t some FReeper figured this out, how to read effortlessly and keep all of the FR posts and comments ON the screen width-wise?
