I’m no psychiatrist, and I don’t play one on TV.

However, IMHO, Obama is so insecure he won’t put himself in any situation that he can’t “control”...thus the teleprompted short press releases, and his statement yesterday when asked about the pirates, “We’re talking about houses now.”

Two perfect examples are this pitch...he might not make a good pitch (probably won’t...so he won’t chance it) and the Gridiron Club dinner. Both were longstanding traditions he backed out of, and I think for no other reason than to preserve his narcissistic compulsion to be viewed as better than the average Joe.

Dead on.

I’ve seen 12 year olds more secure than this guy. He is compensating all the time.

And a third example would be the Medal of Honor Ball at the inauguration. All MoH recipients are, by definition, better men than Obama and he just couldn’t have that, not in “his” day, the Inauguration.
