He's afraid of getting the boos that his veep received at a recent game. Also, I don't think baseball is his game. It is too American, and he might offend the Germans and the rest of Socialist Europe, the Muslims, Castro, Kim Jong-Mentally Ill, and Bill Ayrs.

Heck, I’m white and can’t play basketball worth a lick. And there have been oh so many great white players in the sport. Um, Larry Bird and Pete Marovich??? Thats about it.

Both were longstanding traditions he backed out of, and I think for no other reason than to preserve his narcissistic compulsion to be viewed as better than the average Joe.
And a third example would be the Medal of Honor Ball at the inauguration. All MoH recipients are, by definition, better men than Obama and he just couldn’t have that, not in “his” day, the Inauguration.
