My granddaughter is going to a prom and they spent $300 on a dress in a shop that guarantees that no one else in that school will have the same one. Good heavens. Times sure have changed, and certainly not for the better.

LOL! We were just talking about this, being it’s prom season. Proms are expensive now a days. My senior, tickets are $90/per person, limo is about $60 per person, etc. If the other date isn’t in the senior class, at least in my opinion, then the senior inviting the date has to pay all the costs (prom tickets, limo, etc.). All the shops around here try to make sure that the kids don’t have the same prom dress (for their school prom). However, it was the same way with our 1st Communion dresses. I was assured, by the shop where I purchased my girls Communion dresses that no one else at that Communion would have the same dress, lol, like it mattered or something.

Anyway, someone on here sent me her kid’s prom dress, it’s a beautiful dress, and I paid postage, that’s it! My kid won’t be wearing it, as it doesn’t fit her, and she probably isn’t going to prom at this writing anyway, but another of my kids is in a wedding and she’s wearing that dress :) We lucked out.

Times have changed but seriously it’s not all that different when it comes to this kind of stuff, imo. It’s all how we take it and respond to it all.
