same here. I always felt he was overated but one heck of a lot of people like his music. different strokes and all that huh?

He was way overrated. I remember the tv networks playing ‘Born to Run’ during the NFL playoffs and I think that gave him a huge exposure/boost for a few years. I guess maybe a couple of his songs captured the feeling of the times back then.

The one live performance I saw in 1979 was great though because of his backup band.

No, I mean I’ve always had to get in the habit of separating artist from their politics or I’d have very little to watch or listen to, but I just really never cared for Springsteen. I always thought he really was incredibly overrated and he got on my nerves. Not a popular position when I was a youngster in the ‘80s, but I didn’t budge from it.
