HALTOM CITY, Texas -- A woman called 911 to report she didn't get as much shrimp as she wanted in her fried rice at a Texas restaurant.

Haltom City police on Tuesday released the taped emergency call, in which the customer is heard telling the dispatcher, "to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?"

Yeas, no doubt she was an Obama voter. I could tell by listening to her.

These people need to pay a fine for calling 9-11 for something that isn’t an emergency.

This woman is incredibly selfish and is taking up a line for a foolish shrimp.

What a total idiot.

The dispatcher showed professional behavior, I would have been fired after laughing at the crazy broad. I am surprised the woman didn't demand an immediate response.

I would hope that the woman be charged with some kind of obstruction charge similar to making a false fire call. What would have happened if someone needed real help and this woman was trying up emergency personnel? 911 should only be used for real emergencies and I hope that she is fined or is given some community service hours to preform.

Newspapers get half the content of the daily paper from the police blotter. The other half is comprised of an overlapping subset of AP syndicated articles, DNC press releases, sports scores, and fabricated news items (fauxtography, fake witnesses/sources/documents...).

"to get a police officer up here, what has to happen?"

Keep making bogus 911 calls, honey. You'll get what you want.
