Not to hijack this thread, but I cooked that with some friends recently when we had a “wild game” night. You should try it if you ever get your hands on any rabbit.
I also made grilled venison chops with a special butter topping made with feta cheese, fennel, thyme and lavender.
It was pretty fantastic, better than some filet mignon I’ve had.
It wasn’t that dear “buddy” that your dads friend befriended, was it?
Rabbit and deer are hardly “wild game” to some of the new england rednecks I know. I get scared when I eat over, they kill & grill some funky critters. Squirrel one night. No thanks!
