Quick question: Where can I find a photo of all the championship banners flying over Oakland Coliseum that have been earned during the Billy Beane regime? OK, forget about that, how about a World Series banner, for at least appearing in the World Series? OK, forget about that, how about any evidence of even one playoff series victory during Beane’s regime?

Billy Beane is one of the baseball world’s most overrated elements. He competes in a 4-team league with two of the worst-performing organizations in baseball (Texas and Seattle) and despite that huge advantage still never wins anything. But every year, his self-promotion and sycophantic press allies continue the sham. What a joke. Win something, ever, Beane. Just once. Then come tell us how smart you are.

What should also be noted is the starting pitching rotation on the Athletics during that time. They had Zito, Mulder, and Hudson in the early prime of their careers.
