What DID happen to the singles thread?

I got busy - moving, dating local Air Force Special Forces and have finished unpacking, and AF has packed off for parts unknown!

I relate to the comment about “long distance” relationships though. Am never going to do that again, as it allows people to say anything about themselves and I have no way of verifying any of it, if 2000 miles separates us!

I agree ... you can never have too many friends, and different geographic areas make any chance of a relationship not impossible, but surely tough.

Problem also is that many FReepers leave their home state off their profile pages.

I think it’s a natural that single FReepers look to opposite sex FReepers for friendship and romance. You just can’t have too many conservative happy unions around, plus many of us who aren’t 32 just don’t know who/what to trust, don’t go to bars, or known single gathering spots, etc., so to me FR should be a great place for like minds and hearts to connect.

Re - Post #92 - did not know about that, either. I think it’s a great idea for a Yahoo FReeper singles board .. let’s see if there’s interest in getting get it going.

Whaddya think, anymouse? It would be a “safe” place, real dialogue and sharing could occur .. and pictures. I think if people felt comfortable in a relatively trustworthy forum, they’d share pictures. And, as others have said, a picture is meaningful .

Time for some fun and maybe even a little romance .... never too old for that .. ;)
