Yes...I remember that NBC series even though I was a small kid though.
Colombo, MacMillan and Wife, McCloud...those were great. I still remember one episode of McCloud where the crooks would have specially designed holsters that would trigger a hidden firearm to shoot whenever the police would tell the bad guys to raise their hands over their heads. The hidden gun would shoot the arresting cop and the bad guy would get away.
Cheesey? Maybe. But as a kid I was floored by this.
