I'm not sure, but I think the low end Gibsons are made in either China or Mexico.

There are Fender Stratocasters made in Mexico that are sold by Costco, and there are higher end models made in CA.

Gibsons are made in Nashville, and the Epiphones are made overseas, mainly China now. Supposedly, Epiphones are made from the same working drawings as the Gibsons.
