Speaking of Ref injustice...I’ll never forget tourney where Dean (The Dream) Meminger fouled out of the game...maybe the only time in his life that he fouled out. Maybe two of those five were legit.

I am wondering if the 1977 NCAA basketball tournament was the most under rated in history. This is only with the 32-team format.

That Marquette team still holds the record for the starting player with the fewest points/game average...Bill Neary. Al liked his work ethic so much that he started him every game but replaced him with Bernard Toone shortly there after. Neary was used later in the games as a hatchet man if some particular opponent needed to be removed from the game.

Way back in the 80’s when Nova won the tournament I picked them before the tourney started and was laughed at...hehehe...was a good guess on my part.
