How easy is it to raise a pit bull to be non-agressive?
Its not. These dogs have been raised for generations to fight to the death in a pit. It will not be bred out of them easily.
No matter what owners say these dogs can not be trusted.
Many states are starting to require extra homeowner insurance riders to cover the dogs, if you are not a home owner they are requiring special insurance policies, some as high as 100K.
You don’t raise them to be non-aggressive. In some cases, it would be like trying to keep a border collie from herding.
You can teach them to ignore other dogs, to never, ever leave your property without a leash, and to have as much self discipline as a dog is capable of. The rest is on you, as an owner.
It’s more like having a hobby than a pet, but it’s worth it.

You can’t raise a dog to be non-aggressive that has aggressiveness in it. It’s innate. But you can hammer the obedience training into it and make it obey your every breath. That takes more time and effort than most are willing to put out. And it’s not guaranteed. Some dogs are just too dumb and too headstrong. But pits are usually very good at trying to please a master...but only one master. THe rest of humanity is dogshit to them.
There is an easier way, but it won’t sound very humane. Start raising pits yourself and kill all the ones that exhibit aggression, then inbreed the ones that don’t. In about 5 generations you won’t have any more aggressive pits. But you might have medical problems from the inbreeding.
