As a long suffering Bears fan, this is par for the course. Cutler is probably a big upgrade, but he’s got the Cade McNown syndrome (Hey! Look at me! I’m a big star!). The only difference with McNown is that Cutler can actually play the position.
Da Bears probably have the worst ownership (the dreaded McCaskey family) and front office (a loyal bu** kissing accountant is President - Ted Phillips) in the league. To supplement their weaknesses in evaluating and developing talent, they hired a bu**-kissing GM (Jerry Angelo) who may be one of the worst talent evaluators in the NFL.
I feel sorry for Lovie Smith. He coaxed a winning season in 2008 with a roster than was worse than some college teams, but the fans are starting to boo him.
