Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is firing back at her grandson's teenaged father, Levi Johnston, for comments he made on TV about the circumstances surrounding his son's conception.

On an episode of "The Tyra Banks Show" to air Monday, Johnston, 18, claims that Gov. Palin did not think that he and her daughter Bristol were being abstinent when they were together.

"Bristol did not even know Levi was going on the show," Palin's rep tells People.com. "We're disappointed that Levi and his family, in a quest for fame, attention, and fortune, are engaging in flat-out lies, gross exaggeration, and even distortion of their relationship."

If she has NO REACTION and IGNORES it, the LEFT will see their efforts don't get a rise out of her.

I’m disappointed she reacted to Levi’s appearance. Should have let it go, risen above it .. but that family has taken so much abuse .. but Levi is and will always be her grandson’s father ... so he and she will interact the rest of their days. This should have gone uncommented upon.

I’m sure most all of you were just in love with him when he was brought out on parade as a shining example of American youth.

I wasn't, but many FReepers were. I thought it was disgraceful that he was up on the stage with the family. Why did the family think it was a good idea to parade their pregnant daughter's boyfriend on the stage with them, or even their pregnant daughter?? It made it look as if they condoned the situation with Bristol & Levi. I saw it as a slap in the face to Sarah Palin (from Bristol). It goes against all of Sarah Palin's values, and yet there she was on the stage with her pregnant unwed daughter, and her daughter's boyfriend.

But how did you know Levi was bad news? Many people around here thought he cut a fine figure at the convention.

Cut a fine figure?? As the boyfriend of the pregnant teenage daughter?? It was an embarrassment all around. Neither of them should have been on the stage.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm even on a conservative site at all.

How about you do some research before you pop-off?!

If you were to do a little research you would find that many of the posters posting negative comments routinely post negative innuendo-based comments that twist the truth about Palin and her family.

If you dug a little deeper, you find these same posters posting positive comments about Mitt or other candidates.

The key here is that their negative posts about Palin are consistent and with little or no basis in fact or logic.
