I agree. I saw this story yesterday and assumed renaming the stores was either a tribute to 0bama, an attempt to cash in on his popularity, or some combination of the two.

These restaurants are in predominantly black neighborhoods. Why would they want to anger their customers by insulting their hero.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they are minority owned. Stores all over NYC have photos, of 0bama, many with Me-chelle and the kids, in their front windows. I find it creepy.

I guess some people are not happy unless they feel “victimized”. Funny, how the people who are “fighting racism” are always the ones who associate fried chicken with black people.

Barron is even worse than Sharpton, in that respect,IMHO.

I know, and one of them was in Harlem - I was in that area just over a year ago, and maybe 9 out of 10 businesses had an Obama campaign sign in the window.

But, let me get this straight: A likely black-owned, and probably primarily black-patronised restaurant that serves traditionally ‘black’ food changes its name to honor a black man and then another black man complains that they’re being racist? Personally, I find the entire thing absolutely hilarious, and like something you’d see on one of the Comedy Central ‘news shows’...
