I like Steve Martin. As far as I know he keeps his politics to himself.

My son hasn’t played with Martin but he’s played with Tony Triscka (sp?) and Bela Fleck who taught Martin.

I thin, way way back in the day, the Steve played banjo on the Smothers Brothers show...

I’ve liked Steve Martin since the old days, when he wore the arrow on his head. His banjo playing is awesome. He deserves to play at The Opry. Thanks for posting a good news story!

What a cool story! It’s probably a dream come true for him.

If I ever got a tattoo it would be a banjo ....on my knee.

Totally in character. I read Steve’s book and have been a long time fan. He as always been a natural performer and has always pushed himself to do things that would be a stretch for him, or would seem impossible for others. Yet he always lands on his feet. One of the good guys for sure.

As a yout I bought one of Steve’s albums, in vinyl. One side was stand up and the other side all banjo. Boy was I mad at the time!
