On the Cassel trade the Pats stole KC blind. Cassel is not a top 5 QB yet because the Pats franchised him before the trade he’s getting top 5 money. Any time you can get another team to pay way too much for talent you won the deal.

The Chiefs got Cassel and Mike Vrabel for one second round pick. If Cutler is worth two first rounders with his 17 and 20 record, what is Cassel worth with his 11 and 5?

Pats got what they could. Franchising was their only chance to get anything for Cassel. Vrabel was slipping and they need not only to reduce cap charges but find room for younger players.

Matt Cassel is a legitimate NFL quarterback whose value was greatly increased because of an excellent supporting cast.

As far as Cutler goes - his princess attitude disqualifies him from anything great. Sorry if I insulted any princesses in the room!

Josh McDaniels - let the rebuilding begin! He's been here in NE long enough to know that Denver wasn't going anywhere with Cutler and his piss-poor attitude in the picture.
