KSFO's "hot talk" comedy routine on Muslims: crossing the line?

KSFO's "hot talk" radio morning radio hosts have been in hot water before for comments about the Muslim religion -- and this week, Bay Area broadcaster Brian Sussman appears to be at it again.

This week's Monday 7-8 a.m. hour on the KSFO Morning Show was a real eyebrow-raiser, in which Sussman and his radio sidekick, Officer Vic, launched into a slapstick routine on Islam and its tenets.

"Islamic finance is about living within your means and helping the needy -- unless they're Jews,'' he laughed. "The great honor qualities of that old time religion: honor killings, female circumcision, not allowing women to drive.''

. . .

It's not the first time Sussman, a former weatherman, has won attention for his abrasive statements on Islam.

I heard the skit and chuckled along with it. The root of this type of humor is that it is either founded in truth or is extreme sarcasm. Since no one on either side of the issue claims it was sarcasm it was irreverent, but true.

I heard it, too. It was hilarious.

To be really funny, a bit has to have more than a grain of truth.

Susman is great too listen to. He is right on and truthful with this description of muzzies. What in it he said that is not part of sharia law?????

way to go. it is great when your enemies are trying to suppress the truth, that means there is truth to what your saying.

No apology needed by Sussman. But how about an apology from all the muslim and CIAR spokesmen that keep lying to us, that islam is a religion of peace????? that's news reporting from a liberal SF rag. no mention on how true Susmans statements are!!!

Help the needy? Where were the Mooslims during the tsunami? Where are they in any middle east shithole in the world? I think the KORAN must say “give to the needy in your neighborhood to get him off your doorstep.”.

"the KORAN must say “give to the needy in your neighborhood to get him off your doorstep.”.

No it states that "you must turn the needy against the infidel and they will find paradise"

or in other words "Take the homeless bast@@ds and rig em with bombs and send them into innocent neighborhoods to sell cookies."

Does anyone recall any sfgate or other media outrage over the comments of Bill Maher or his ilk when Christianity or Catholicism is insulted or ridiculed?
