Yep, old Jennifer and her buddies are at it again, catch and release. How long til it’s back in town, a week, a month or longer you can bet it’ll be back.

“no cats east of Mississippi...” Chicago Police killed a large young mountain lion in a residential neighborhood just north of the Loop two years ago. It's tummy was full of deer. Speculation was that the animal had traveled south from Wisconsin following railroad embankments. In the days before the Chicago incident several people in suburbs just north of Chicago had reported seeing cats near the railroad tracks. The sightings were dismissed by local authorities.
Animal rights groups complained that the Chicago cops should have sought a “better outcome,” in the Chicago incident. In a radio report, a CPD sergeant appeared puzzled when a reporter confronted him with the language of the Animal Rights Group press statement: “a dangerous animal was loose in a residential area with numerous children. The dangerous animal was killed before he could hurt one of the kids. What ‘better outcome’ could there have been”? asked the sergeant.
Around the same time, a cat was killed by a train in Indiana in an area just south and east of Chicago. When they examined what was left of him, they saw that he too had been living on deer.

Her job is very secure living in the liberal bastion of Boulder. Chances are they released it in an area already claimed by other lions. He will be back soon to eat Alpo fattened Fee Fees off of back porches, and Jenny will come to the rescue again.
