Neither is there any mileage in a referee being biased.

I don't think I made any claim that there was "mileage" to be obtained by being biased. It is very difficult to discern why someone is "biased" and that applies to all areas of life, not just sports. Perhaps it was a past situation where you were wronged by a particular club/organization or you have a "history" with someone and now you are in a position of ultimate control.

So again I ask, statistically speaking how can it be that the 3 games this referee (who is the head of the referee organization and is accountable to ????) has done for our team can call 90% of the fouls against our team whereas EVERY OTHER GAME that other referees do is roughly a fair 50/50?

Here is something for you to consider. EVERYONE has biases whether consciously or subconsciously and no amount of competence training will fix that. I would never question this referee's competence but I do question his ethics and that is a harder thing to evaluate. I think the right thing to do would be to take a "pass" on our games and let someone else do them. The past should be the past and if he had a "run-in" with our former coach or another coach in our organization, that should not affect his current work but unfortunately it is very obvious that it does, "mileage" be damned.

Have you had a discussion with this referee, man-to-man, off the field and offline, maybe over coffee? Raised your concerns and asked him what the deal is? Perhaps he’ll tell you. Or maybe he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.

There is no intrinsic reason why he should behave as he is. I wouldn’t think there was anything in it for him to be biased — unless he is taking bribes or placing bets on the game. Stranger things have happened.
