The nine silver spheres hover above a row of shops, including a Coral bookies, on the internet giants new Street View service.
Sun reader Faye Sharpe, 18, discovered them while viewing her neighbourhood of Wolverley Street in Bethnal Green, East London.
Faye said: I was checking out the road to see if I could spot my mates. I thought it looked very strange and zoomed in.
I thought it was some planes but they look pretty close together for that. Maybe they are UFOs.
Yesterday baffled ufologist Nick Pope said he was very excited by the image, which he labelled truly fascinating.
He added: It appears to show nine objects flying in near perfect formation. About the only thing I know that can do this is the Red Arrows and its not them.
Mr Pope, who used to investigate sightings for the Ministry of Defence, said: Ive run through the list of possibilities that normally explain these things, but I cant find an answer.
Yesterday The Sun visited the street to talk to locals about the mysterious find. Holly Riding, 19, said: Its definitely weird.
Karishma Daswani, 22, added: The fact that they are flying in formation is very strange.
Oriele Calvert, 44, said: This is definitely the strangest thing Ive ever seen in Bethnal Green.
Street View, on Google Maps and Google Earth, shows 360-degree views of 25 cities throughout the country.

It looks like a flying tic-tac-toe game.
The “smudging” and offsets of the post near the objects (the top section of the post) makes me suspect a little Photoshopping of this pic...
Beer cans.
If it’s on Google Earth...it’s gotta be real.;-)
Here is the link to the Street View of that area. No matter how I move around, I don’t see the supposed UFOs.

Yeah, very poor photoshopping
UFO = Unidentified Fotoshopped Object
Ahem remind you of something.
You can see the wings and tails of the planes
You can even see the smoke coming out of the formation.
Not great photoshop.
I also don’t believe the image they are showing is the actual street view image. The people in the image are different and the angle is different. The street view camera is looking down on the people because it is mounted to the top of the car, the image in The Sun seems to be shot from a lower angle. (compare The Sun image to the streetview link of the same spot above.)
..also, in addition to the different people and angle, the window above the L in the Coral sign is closed in Streetview but open in The Sun image.
It looks like someone took their own photo and manipulated it. I doubt Google would have ‘re run’ the street view.
they’re a little out of formation
Thanks.
D.C. do as you see fit, imho.
Thx
Uhhhhhh how long were the craft supposedly in the area?
Streetview isn’t a live image, it is a one time run through of an area with a camera car. Unless Google suddenly did another run through in the past few days, it is pretty apparent that the image The Sun is posting isn’t a Streetview image or it is a manipulated version of it.
That’s what I thought.
Thx.
This is getting pitiful. Every optical irregularity is now a UFO?
