I have a tremendous respect for the Kiwis, and Kiwi engineering.
Worked on the Irish stove a bit and got a little more fire going in it. Aggravating -- burning over an hour and the central hallway is only up to 59F (58F is setback temp).
It would also be nice to have more energy-dense hardwood, instead of burning softwoods all the time. After we take down a maple that's threatening the back deck my wishes will be granted. *\;-)

No, his name was Jean-Paul Des Hor’s, generally thought to be the second greatest French philosopher, since the French still continue to put Descartes before Des Hor’s.
(Des Hor’s did however contribute greatly to international cuisine with his invention of the appetizer.)

(Des Hor’s did however contribute greatly to international cuisine with his invention of the appetizer.) True and acknowledged but the third greatest and by some metrics the most successful would have had to be the French philosopher Jean Des Whores. He's long gone but Des Whores remain with us today, and in his memory those professionals' patrons are named after him (Anglicised, of course).
