====================SPOILER ALERT=================
ALIENS ARE THE SAVIORS OF MANKIND.
Wow, you missed all the messages in the movie pointing to those beings as Angels...remember in the mobile home? The picture Lucinda had been staring at--the painting of Ezekiel's wheel depicted in the Bible. That's what I saw, not a space ship. And did you miss their wings when they ascended? And the tree of life? I mean, just because they were transformed and glowed, and became transparent, why did you assume they were aliens? Doesn't the Bible teach that we will be transfigured, and take on new celestial bodies? That's what I saw when the figures shed their earthly forms and were transformed. And what about the father sacrificing his son for the sake of mankind? Was that an alien message?
I didn't see aliens at all. I saw spiritual beings. I thought it was an extremely powerful movie.

The Bible says that "Satan himself can appear as an angel of light". With their "mother ship" at the end of the movie and the mysterious men turning into "aliens" and then "angels", the message could not have been more clear - the angels of the Bible are really the aliens in the space ships. If/when "aliens" appear in public on this planet, I believe that is precisely what they will want you to believe. Sure, they want to imitate things of God, so they want you to believe that an "alien" mother ship is the "wheel within a wheel" as spoken of in Ezekiel.
I mean, just because they were transformed and glowed, and became transparent, why did you assume they were aliens?
they first transformed into a typical "alien" form. How could you miss that? Yes, then they sprouted wings, took on more of an angelic form, and then floated up to the mother ship. The message was clear as day to me. They wanted to completely blur and erase the line between aliens and angels, mother ship and wheel in Ezekiel.
And what about the father sacrificing his son for the sake of mankind? Was that an alien message?
Sacrificing? What? He knew he was going to die along with EE (everyone else) on the planet. He didn't "sacrfice" his son. He allowed him to live. Is that specifically an alien message? No. The alien message is "let us help you" and "let us explain spiritual things to you".
Believe me, I was looking forward to seeing this movie. I'm a Nicholas Cage fan and the plot sounded quite intriguing. I was very engrossed in the movie, but when the mother ship showed up and those beings turned into aliens/angels, I was disgusted. I don't know if you've looked into "aliens" and what their "contactees" have to say. If you had, you'd probably have a different take on the "message" of the movie.
We may be getting closer to the day when their will be "disclosure". If/When that happens, I don't want anything to do with "alien" creatures. They certainly won't be here to encourage us to become disciples of Christ.

I’m sorry, but I think you’re reading stuff into it that just wasn’t there. Do you know what angels are supposed to look like? I mean, have you gotten the inside definitive description from God about what they will look like? The Bible says they are heavenly bodies. In art, creative license allows artists to depict characters however they choose. You saw aliens. I saw angels.
Also, I challenge you to defy that God has intervened with humans in earthly manifestations throughout the Scripture...locusts, plagues, darkness, Ezekiel’s wheel, the burning bush, tablets of stone, manna from heaven, shining stars in the night sky, heavenly hosts of angels...it goes on and on. I’m certainly glad Abraham, Moses, Mary and other Bible heroes weren’t so judgmental as you are about what they saw.
What exactly is your measuring standard to know when you see something spectacular and unexplainable as to whether it is from God or Satan? I just need to know, for my own edification. Because if Gabriel is blowing his trumpet and he looks like an alien, I don’t want to dismiss him as satanic and get left behind.
