If anyone knows how to post this into a Florida category, please let me know. It is not news and I did not want to post it as such. But since every little thing our guys get helps them out, I did want to let people know.
If you just want to drop off items. The SE Republican club meets at the Hollywood Beach Culture & Community Center 1301 So. Ocean Dr. Hollywood, FL 33019 at 7:00PM on 4/07/09.
Could the item listed as needed be mailed to the same address?
It is heart-breaking to think of those young guys not receiving anything from their loved ones at mail call. Guess I’ll make a trip to Target.
I remember mail calls all too well and the all too often disappointment in not getting any letter and the extreme joy in receiving one..........
I will mail a check to help in their mailing and packing costs.
If I include a thank you note for a soldier, will that be sent along with one of the care packages?
Thanks for bringing this soldier support group to our attention.
I just got back on the 14th of March. Several guys in my platoon almost never got mail. I signed the whole platoon up for soldiersangels.com and we started getting lots of mail. Even though email is plentiful, there is no replacement for something you can hold in your hand that was held by someone back home.
Thank you for your support.
