Tougher laws begin at home. We were band parents and monitoried band camp and band trips and parented the kids whose real parents were too lazy. I monitored the phone calls and web sites and friends my kids hung with. Once I even read a diary.

They didn’t like it either.

Too freaking bad. I’m the MOM and some things are just because “I SAID SO.” Our house was not a democracy.

Today I have 2 grown successful, healthy, happy Conservative Christians leading productive lives...and 2 more in the wings.

My wife has made our oldest take a drug test. And she told him that he will lose ALL priviledges if he tests positive. There are four in the pantry. She told both boys anytime she wants to she will hand them a cup, and it won't have any OJ in it.

I told them it will take all of the pressure off of them if any friends try to get them to smoke. All they have to say is my parents test me. Everyone of their friends know that we have the test.

You know what? I get the sense that some of their friends wish their parents cared as much.
