When I go salmon fishing I used to carry my .44mag in a bandolier holster, too big to wear comfortably so I now carry a 10mm Glock with hot hunting loads.
In Alaska I could have a rifle strapped to my back in downtown Anchorage and its quite the norm.
I never saw people walking into schools with guns, kids getting on school buses with rifles, and just most the people out and about with sidearms on belt; in Anch that is. Guess, I’ve been out in the sticks too long.
