A guy I worked with claimed 'oriental' was a highly offensive term.
I wish I had a nickle for every business establishment I saw while traveling throughout Asia that had the word 'oriental' in it.
Guess nobody old them how offensive they were being.
I love most oriental foods.... I can't tell you which region or what country - and most things I like are probably americanized anyway - but it is sort of like claiming that southerners ONLY fry foods or cover them with gravy. While that is good, I admit, I do bake and grill fish, and even have salad.... ;^)
So maybe I should be offended by southern comments.
